Founded in 1782, Golden Valley has grown from its humble beginnings as a remote trading outpost for trappers and miners into a fair-sized town, nestled in the beautiful but wild Montana. Due to Montana becoming a state, and the construction of the railroad through the once sleepy little village, the population had nearly tripled in the last twenty years. This influx of people, most of whom are honest and hardworking made the town one of the largest, most prosperous communities in the region.

Summer 1875
July
Summer has arrived in all her glory, but given how far north Golden Valley is situated, there’s always the risk of rather chilly nights. Most however are relatively mild, but the many lakes dotting the landscape make it very humid.
