Charles impressed his superiors. They groomed him for a position of station manager. When an opening came available, the family moved on. When the opportunity came for the stations at Golden Valley, they jumped at it. They moved to the town, built a home and settled down.
Charles took over the running of the stage depot. He ran it for 15 years. His son Michael, helped around the depot. He was made his dad's assistant. After Charles passed, Michael took over. Angela decided then to turn the extra rooms into a money making situation so she opened the boarding house.
