Samuel "Sam" Prescott is the new kid in Golden Valley, and a street urchin looking for work. Currently in hiding from abusive parents who wanted to use him more for slave labor than a child, he has few friends, given his past and constant moving around. Anyone that wishes to become close to him, or help him out must first get past his "tough guy" attitude and bravado. But underneath it is a hard worker with a heart of gold who really is just looking for somewhere to belong.

Abraham and Hannah Prescott/Parents: He's currently on the run from these two - who would surely do something horrible if they ever found him. Afraid of them, and their temper, more than anything else in this world.
